Accounts Payable Clerk (Temp To Hire)

Sparrow Company, an executive search and staffing firm, has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk for one of our clients in Downtown El Paso. This is a temporary to hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:

• Process Accounts Payable invoices and ensure accurate coding and approval
• Prepare and process payments to vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date Accounts Payable records
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Human Resources and Accounting, to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments
• Perform general ledger reconciliation for Accounts Payable related accounts

Requirements:

• Bilingual
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of clerical and bookkeeping procedures
• Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry
• Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping principles and debits/credits
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficient in using accounting software such as UltiPro or Ceridian
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
