Teachers of Tomorrow is looking to add a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our Accounting Department. You will be an essential part of the department supporting the team with the execution of routine clerical tasks. The right person for this position is familiar with basic accounting procedures and has a passion for numbers. The salary range for this position is between $45,000-$50,000.

About the Position
The Accounts Payable Clerk is crucial to the success of our Accounting Department. This position is responsible for the accurate preparation and maintenance of accounting records and documents. It is essential that this position support the department with fine attention to detail and excellent administrative skills. The A/P clerk must be willing to work independently, meeting deadlines with minimal direction.
- Key Responsibilities (Individual Contributor)
- Supports the Accounting Department with routine clerical tasks
- Verifies approval requirements and supporting documentation on all invoices
- Receives, reviews, and processes incoming vendor invoices.
- Reviews and resolves invoice discrepancies
- Addresses and responds to vendor inquiries
- Prepares and processes payment runs
- Collects documents for vendor setup in Intacct
- Maintains Accounts Payable files
- Performs any other duties as directed by members of the accounting department
- Manage and maintain employees and expense reports in Concur.
- Prepare monthly Amex journal entry.
- Cross train with AR to provide support as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Act in accordance with Teachers of Tomorrow core values
- High school diploma required; Associates, Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- One to two years of experience in a clerical accounting position.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Experience with Sage Intacct and Avid Strogroom preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
- Ability to manage Accounts Payable using accounting software and other programs.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, critical thinker and written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Superior time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, teamwork, and professionalism.
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Must be able to legally work in any US company without sponsorship.
