Job Description:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist at Rooftek, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for accurately processing, recording, and reconciling all Accounts Payable transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Your ability to work efficiently, maintain accuracy, and communicate effectively will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing:
- Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Reconcile payments with invoices and maintain payment records.
- Vendor Management:
- Maintain vendor relationships, including communication and addressing payment inquiries.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Expense Reporting:
- Assist in the processing of employee expense reports and reimbursements.
- Verify expense receipts and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Month-End Reconciliation:
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations.
- Prepare Accounts Payable reports and assist in financial reporting.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- QuickBooks Expertise:
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage and record Accounts Payable transactions efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably with QuickBooks proficiency.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software and tools.
