Principle Accountabilities
- Intercompany Accounting and Audit responsibilities
- Responsibility for monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for Related Companies and Related Party accounts and other accounts as assigned
- Preparation of annual budget, audit work papers and other account analysis for Related Companies and Related Party accounts and other accounts as assigned
Property Tax and Sales Tax
- Assist in the preparation certain state and federal income tax returns prepared in house under the supervision of the Tax Manager
- Assist in the preparation of property tax filing and facilitation of payments
- Assist with ongoing sales tax monitoring and monthly compliance
State and Federal Reporting and Compliance
- Primary responsibility for Secretary of State filing compliance, as well as any other state compliance (Bottle Deposits, B&O Tax, etc.)
- Small Business Subcontractor reporting on a monthly and annual basis
- Census Reporting
Special Projects and Analysis
Complete special assignments as required
Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
- 4 year degree in accounting or finance
- certificates or advanced degree helpful, but not required
- Strong computer skills—proficient in MS Office, Excel, Queries
- Showcase experience helpful
- 2-3 years’ experience in accounting and/or tax preparation, preferably within a CPA firm or the manufacturing industry
- Excellent communication skills---verbal & written
