The Accounting Specialist reports directly to the Director of Finance, Accounting, and HR. The salary range for this role is $40-60K and will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate is eligible to participate in a generous benefits plan. See below for details.

Job Functions:

• Manage accounts payable tasks, including invoice maintenance, processing, and reconciliation.
• Handle credit card payments and ensure accurate reconciliation.
• Compile data and create spreadsheets for journal entries to maintain an up-to-date general ledger.
• Generate and distribute monthly bills, enter purchase orders and manage payment timings.
• Execute fund transfers between countries, optimize Line of Credit (LOC) usage, calculate and pay taxes
• Assist the Director with customer issues, reports, and special projects.

• Establish new customer accounts, including tax exemption setup.
• Input customer orders and issue credit memos for refunds, fees, and discounts.
• Download and prepare journal entries for key websites/marketplaces.
• Record check payments, make bank deposits, and access customer portals for EFT details.
• Manage accounts receivable, ensuring prompt customer payments.
• Reconcile QuickBooks with bank statements, matching entries accurately.

Ideal Requirements:

• 2 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience
• Bachelors or Associates degree in business, accounting, or other relevant fields
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, office practices, and procedures
• Proficiency with Quickbooks Online, Google Suite, Excel/Sheets
• Thorough and accurate work habits with a strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication, and critical-thinking skills
• A positive can-do and continuous improvement attitude with a focus on achieving team goals
