Accounting Specialist

Growing import/export company in Carson, CA is seeking Accounting Specialists for a direct hire, full time opportunity.

Schedule/Pay: Mon-Fri, $27-$30/hr DOE

Duties:

• Maintain/ correct and update system information.
• Updating FX rates in system and post to SharePoint.
• Purchase JPY contracts weekly based on CC report and make monthly report.
• Processing Credit card payments for Customers. (Per request from branch)
• Pay storage, demurrage, and exam fees for containers at Port online. (Per request from branch.)
• Distribute Invoices that comes from Japan to branches.
• Forward Invoices from Overseas to POSI.
• Review Payment request for Overhead expenses. (This included Travel and Misc. Expense reports.)
• Issue checks.
• Pull D&B reports for Sales team.
• Monthly & Yearly closing task

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting/finance or +3 years of experience as an accountant or AP/AR clerk
• Languages: Japanese or Korean, or Mandarin (intermediate or fluent)
• Knowledge in Great Plains or Cargowise preferred but not required.
