Accounting Payables Assistant

Summary of Position:

New West Designs, Inc. is looking to hire a highly motivated individual for the Accounting Department. This non-exempt position is responsible for all accounting tasks, receivables, payable, administrative support, and related accounting functions:
We are a floor covering, wall tile, and window covering company located in Lake Forest, CA. We work with Independent Homebuilders, some Commercial, and homeowners.

Requirements

• Set up new customers
• Process accounts payable transactions
• Prepares and applies bank deposits
• Reconciles and adjust accounts appropriately
• Critical thinker with good situational awareness, and problem solver.
• Reconciles with month-end and year-end closing
• Prepares regular periodic and special accounting reports
• Must be self-motivated with good organizational skills
• Requires good communication and time management skills
• Accept assignments that require additional training
• Build strong and trusting business relationships.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel,
• Open to learning new software programs
• Flexible and willing to assist in other areas of accounting that may require additional help.
• Must conduct oneself professionally both in the workplace and the community

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
