• Reports to: Senior Accountant
• Status: Full-time, non-exempt, 30+ hours/week
Job Summary: The Accounts Payable/Payroll Assistant operates under the direct supervision of the Senior Accountant to perform bookkeeping for the agency.
Duties:
• Perform routine clerical duties such as creating and maintaining files, sorting and delivering mail, and entering data into the computer. • Process accounts payable.
• Process payroll in our Paylocity payroll system.
• Reconcile and process credit card expenses.
• Manage gift card distributions. • Enter data into QuickBooks and manage Excel spread sheets.
• Assist with financial review of selected grants. • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• College courses in accounting, trade school bookkeeping certificate, or 3 years' experience as full-charge bookkeeper preferred.
• Competency with Excel and QuickBooks Online accounting software required.
• Knowledge of Paylocity payroll software a plus.
• Must be very organized with a general understanding of the accounting process.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
• California ID or Driver's License required.
• The state-mandated 40-hour domestic violence training will be provided and is required.
