Job Description
Summary Statement
The Accounting Clerk under the direction of the Controller, shall provide support to the AADAP Fiscal
Department and accountants. This position will be supporting the accounting department with data entry,
filing, creating schedules for analysis, billing submission to contractors, copying and responding to contract
compliance needs. This position will be supporting the Accounting operations with ongoing projects, assists
with the management of compliance records, and spending.
Prepare monthly billing reports for program services.
- Provide data entry support for routine accounting recordings.
- Assist with filing, file rotation of records and organization of records.
- Provide supporting documents for monthly spending such as making copies if check request
- Create outcome reports for management level staff.
- Assist with A/R entries, fixed assets, journal entries, cash receipt.
- Assist with exporting and importing of data.
- Assisting with pulling information from accounting software.
- Assisting with filing records in accounting.
- Maintain rental agreements and schedule of tenants.
- Assist with reviewing agency wide credit card purchases.
- Assisting with monthly payroll and timesheet organization
- Participates in team meeting providing input for corrections and for continuous
- Additional duties as assigned
- Regular work schedule may need to be adjusted for specific situations as dictated by
program needs.
Two-year college education or relevant experience
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in computer operations
- Skill in preparing, processing, and reconciling accounts payable allocations
- Expert in payroll processing
- 10-key by touch
Preferred Skills
Bilingual or bicultural capabilities with Los Angeles County threshold languages: Arabic, Armenian,
Cantonese, Farsi, Urdu, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog,
Vietnamese, and other Chinese languages.
- Experience operating computerized accounting systems; preferably American FundWare accounting
- Experience with non profit account procedures.
Permanent resident or U.S. Citizen; proof of work eligibility upon hiring.
- Must have three (3) years of recovery or drug free lifestyle as of the date of the application.
- Must provide proof of full vaccination and 1st Booster against Covid-19 upon hiring.
- Ability to get along well with others, be punctual, pleasant, and tactful with professional appearance
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, clients
- Ability to be culturally competent of age groups, gender identity, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs,
socioeconomic status, and diverse cultures.
Physical Requirements:
Moderate Duty
This class requires that the incumbent stand or walk most of the time with bending, stooping, squatting,
twisting reaching, working or irregular surfaces, occasional lifting of objects over 25 pounds, and frequent
lifting of 10-25 pounds. Ascending and descending ladders and staircase will be more frequent. An example
is this position frequently will be moving and organizing agency supplies.
