Hours:  8-5 pm  

Schedule: M-F Remote or Hybrid

SUMMARY: This role supports the AP, AR and Credit Collections functions.  Processes and posts payments; reviews aging reports and corresponds with dealers and banks.  Builds and maintains positive relationships with dealers, company departments and outside agencies in the reconciliation of accounts and in the collection of past due amounts to minimize DSO and the company’s risk of / exposure to potential losses.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(Other duties may be assigned.)

Percent of Time        (Each Work Week)

  • 35% A/R Responsibilities: Reviews and posts deposits, credit memos, invoices, account maintenance, electronic file transfers, Warranty and Customer Service requests.
  • 35% A/P Responsibilities: Sorts/distributes mail, reconciles invoices via two and three way matching and coordinates with other departments, Corresponds with vendors and posts invoices.
  • 10% Credit Responsibilities: Reviews Summary and Detail Dealer Aging reports, makes recommendations (to include account maintenance requests) to Credit personnel.  Corresponds with dealers and banks.
  • 5% General Duties: pulls, files and copies documents/reports, documenting pertinent correspondence, journal entry preparation.
  • 15% Special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate of Arts Degree in a related field and two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

COMPUTER AND OTHER SKILLS

Proficient user in MS Office suite, specifically Word (write letters and draft reports), Outlook (email correspondence) and intermediate level Excel - must be able to prepare spreadsheets with formulas, worksheets, charts, graphs, schedules, procedures, and other data as necessary.  ERP system experience helpful.  Organized and detail-oriented.   Able to present information to a group of co-workers, supervisors, managers or higher-level executives.  Excellent communication and customer relationship skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills – excellent command of the English language (foreign language helpful).   The individual must be able to interface with co-workers, internal departments, service providers, and customers in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, dealer agreements, financial statements, invoices, credit memos, vouchers and procedure manual. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
