Are you currently looking for new accounting opportunities? Vaco Los Angeles is working with a client on a hot new job opening, this position is to be filled as soon as possible. This client is located in Los Angeles, Ca right next door to Montebello, and they are in need of an Accounting Clerk to join their team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible to preform basic and routine accounting functions. The position complies and maintains verified accounts payable and accounts receivable records, reconciles statements, issues payment to venders, and monitors accounting actions.
Job Duties Include:
- Cash management that includes, scanning, posting and cashing checks
- Generates bank deposit reports
- Create scheduled monthly billing invoices
- Communication with AR and AP department
- Credit card and bank reconciliation
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Daily recording and data entry of financial transactions.
- Report directly to Senior Accountant
- Sales tax quarterly and monthly reporting
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Senior Accountant
Qualifications/Skills:
- College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
- Proficient with Google, MS Office Suite, and QuickBooks
- Experience with record keeping, data entry, invoicing, and spreadsheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles, calculations, and general ledger
