Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Location: 9380 Excelsior Blvd, Hopkins, MN 55343

Duration: 03+ Months

Shift Time: 1stShift.

Notes:

• 100% in office for a training period, then Hybrid (in office 3 days/week)

Requirements

• 3 MUST HAVE skills or experience required: Accounts payable, Microsoft (Excel is a MUST, Access is preferred, word), Organization and attention to detail.
• Preferred experience or skills would you like to see but not a deal breaker: Access database knowledge, Communication.
• Minimum education requirements: Prefer some college- does not have to have Degree.

Duties:

• Processes transactions, reconciles and maintains various accounts and ledgers.
• Transactions processed and maintained may include accounts payable, journal vouchers, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, ledgers, statements, billings, and/or other accounting documents.
• Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of transactions processed.
• Conducts research on discrepancies and makes appropriate corrections or adjustments.
• Responds to and resolves inquiries.
• Posts data and/or checks and verifies data.
• Runs and prepares routine financial reports and analyses.

Performs a variety of operation duties within safekeeping and/or Investment Portfolio workstreams depending on assignment.

• Accountable for a variety of accounting functions such as reconciliation, analysis and external reporting.
• Interfaces with internal personnel to resolve issues and ensure efficient service to those customers.
• Uses various reporting to ensure accuracy of account transactions and information.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
