Job Summary:
We are looking for a QA Lead to lead the team in ensuring food safety measures are met.

What you’ll do:
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance standards and practices.
- Interact with other departments to ensure understanding of Quality Assurance principles.
- Conduct audits of processes and procedures to identify areas of improvement.
- Conduct investigations into problems identified by customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Perform environmental and biological testing of product.
- Perform routine line walks and building inspections to check for repacks.
- Develop and implement training programs based on Quality Assurance principles and guidelines.
- Provide training, coaching, and support to the Quality Assurance team.
- Check all in inbound and outbound inspections; Ensure paperwork is completed and logs are updated.
- Enforce GMPs and all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Work with QA manager to establish quality metrics and goals.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 1-2 years experience in QA/QC in the food industry preferred
- HAACP certification preferred
- Knowledge of state, local and federal food safety laws including USDA, GMP’s, CCP, HACCP, SOPs, Food Defense and Food Safety Culture guidelines and regulations
- Ability to work effectively and produce consistent results with minimal supervision
- Warehousing experience preferred
- Experience in a supervisory/leadership role
- Must be able to perform frequent bending, kneeling, pushing, and squatting and frequent reaching over shoulder, waist level, and from the floor
- Must be a team player
- Must have excellent verbal and written communicate skills
- Must be dependable and have a good attendance record
- Must have basic math and computer skills.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, or when requested

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
