- Requirements: This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience as a QC tech. Quality assurance expertise. Must have strong leadership skills, collaborate with management. Must be able to perform math calculations. Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed to ensure compliance to quality standards and resolution results including computer software skills. GMP's, SQF and company food safety programs with GFSI systems a plus. *Bilingual (English/Spanish ) a plus.
- Responsibilities: The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for performing and monitoring Food Safety and Quality procedures while providing leadership and training to hourly and temporary Quality Assurance personnel. Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices. Oversee all aspects of Quality Assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met. Instructing and mentoring.
- Physical Demands: Ability to routinely lift and carry product weighting up to 20lbs. Able to perform task in different temperature work environments (cold and hot). Must wear assigned PPE following sanitation procedures. At least 8 hours on feet standing or walking through workstations.
