Make an Impact
As an SEC reporting professional, you will oversee the preparation, analysis and coordination of SEC reports, consolidated financial analysis, and other financial reports for use by management, shareholders and outside agencies.
- Assist with the preparation of Forms 10-K/10-Q and XBRL review.
- Prepare core financial statements, including statements of shareholder's equity and cash flows.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for SEC filings and perform comprehensive tie-out.
- Prepare quarterly and annual disclosure checklists.
- Assist with the preparation of earnings release tables.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of consolidated analytics
- Perform technical research and prepare Technical Accounting memos.
- Evaluate business transactions for proper U.S. GAAP accounting treatment, including accounting and disclosure recommendations.
- Assist with the implementation and ongoing monitoring of significant new accounting pronouncements and documentation of accounting policies.
- Skilled in stock-based compensation accounting.
- Assist with designing and overseeing controls over the financial statement close process.
What you should bring
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA required.
- 6+ years of financial Reporting and auditing experience, with at least 3+ years of public accounting experience and experience working in a public company's external reporting function.
- Good understanding of financial statements, U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting rules.
- Experience in the real estate industry is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple assignments with competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and question data for reasonableness and proper accounting.
- Collaborative and can be flexible in his/her approach.
