Overview:
Main Ingredients:
- Oversight of the Accounts Payable department.
- Directs and advises Accounts Payable Manager(s).
- Monitors processes for improvement opportunities.
- Oversight of the Payroll /Benefits department
- Directs and advises the Director of Payroll / Benefits.
- Provides financial oversight of benefit program structure and alternatives.
- Direct responsibility for internal audit function and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance process
- Manages outsourced internal auditor.
- Provides SOX compliance review, oversight, and process improvement.
- Assists with preparation of presentations to and communications with the Audit Committee and the Audit Committee Chair.
- Oversight of technical tax functions including local/state taxes, property tax, and related notices, returns, account reconciliations and audits.
- Directs and advises the Tax Manager.
- Oversight of the PMO department ensuring alignment with company objectives, timelines, and delivery of results.
- Directs and advises the Director of PMO.
- Provides finance and accounting expertise and support to ERP system and initiatives.
- Manage ad hoc reporting and projects for management.
- Interface with various departments in the Company to provide and receive information pertinent to various financial issues.
- Collaborate with other VPs on inter-departmental projects, initiatives, etc.
- Instills a performance culture resulting in meaningful processchanges or improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness, as well as meeting the needs of a high growth business.
- Coach and develop staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains and develops
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Recipe for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- 7 to 10 years of experience in progressively responsible accounting and finance related roles preferably in a public and retail company
- Minimum 7 years successfully leading and developing teams of direct and indirect reports
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
- Direct experience with ERP systems
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and principles
- Experienced in implementing/maintaining Sarbanes Oxley internal controls
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience partnering with executive level team members
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Ability to solve complex problems and make effective decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
- Experience in a dynamic and growing company
