Summary of Role

We are looking for an experienced VP of Finance to join our finance team and play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our e-commerce business. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and financial reporting, with a primary focus on financial planning and forecasting. This position will be a part of the leadership team that makes key financial decisions aligning with the company's goals.

Financial Reporting:

• Leading the monthly accounting close process, including an analytical review of operating results to ensure accounting records were accurate, complete, and prepared in accordance with GAAP.
• Providing financial analyses as needed, in areas including customer profitability, contract negotiations, pricing decisions, insurance, and capital investments.

Compliance:

• Supporting the CEO with monthly debt compliance reporting.
• Complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Collaboration and Leadership:

• Work closely with the executive team to shape the overall financial strategy of the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze variances between budgeted and actual results, providing insights and recommendations.

Cash Flow Management:

• Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring the availability of funds for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
• Optimize working capital with an emphasis on monitoring inventory levels and recommend improvements to cash management processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.
• Experience in e-commerce or distribution industries is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
