JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, this position is a senior-level manager who directs and plans the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activities and financial positions in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. The Vice-President assigns, supervises and reviews the work of staff responsible for performing a variety of technical accounting functions related to Agency payroll, accounts payable and financial record-keeping and reporting. This position is responsible for accurately maintaining all financial activities, responsibilities, and duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that an organization meets the necessary tax, permit and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with an executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of a company’s ledger.
  • Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures.
  • Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective policy making and financial strategizing.
  • Summarize budget trends, analyzing deficiencies and reporting variances to executives.
  • Provide external auditors with the necessary documentation and support.
  • Take care of tax preparation duties or collaborate with external tax accountants for tax preparation.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s of Accounting Degree preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.
  • 10+ years related experience preferred.
  • High degree of integrity required.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently with little direction.
  • Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to adapt to changing prioritization and last-minute adjustments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills in Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and accounting software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional on-site office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, camera, and fax machines.

The associate must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
