Job Title: Vice President / General Manager, Manufacturing
Location: Northeast Ohio
Company Overview: A leading manufacturing company in Northeast Ohio, specializing in high-speed metal stamping, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President / General Manager to lead our operations. With growing annual sales and a dedicated team of 40 employees, their facility is equipped with state-of-the-art presses ranging from 22 to 275 tons and 11 four-slide stamping machines. They are committed to excellence in our field, focusing on innovation, quality, and precision in metal stamping and forming.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability.
•Lead and develop a team of professionals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
•Implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall operational excellence.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging lean manufacturing principles and practices.
•Manage customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
•Oversee job quoting processes, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and timely responses to customer inquiries.
•Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure tool and die designs meet production requirements and quality standards.
•Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
•Drive innovation in manufacturing processes and technologies to maintain and enhance competitive advantage.
Qualifications:
•A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a leadership role within the metal stamping and forming industry.
•Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in tool and die making.
•Proven track record of improving operational efficiencies, cost reduction, and profit growth.
•Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
•Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•Experience in job quoting and customer relationship management.
•Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems.
