As a Business Practices Program Lead within J.P. Morgan Private Client, you will lead many aspects of Business Practices monitoring, process design, approval planning and solutioning for J.P. Morgan Private Client.
This person will support J.P. Morgan Private Client legal, risk, compliance, and controls governance activities. In addition, this person will participate in new product launches/enhancements and policy or process changes impacting the business and all sub-Lines of Business, which may require new or enhanced monitoring to be developed and implemented. All responsibilities will require partnership with peers within the Business, Controls, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compliance, Legal, and Data & Analytics to effectively help manage the Bank’s Business Practices risk.
Job Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess opportunities to re-underwrite how to meet customer needs (fee waivers, rate exceptions, escalations) and evaluate potential risks (credit, legal), impacts, value to clients and J.P. Morgan Private Client and tradeoffs.
- Design business requirements, parameters, and processes (investment referral model that meets all Retail Non-Deposit Investment Products requirements).
- Partner with relevant stakeholders across Consumer & Community Banking line of businesses and functions to negotiate, solution and achieve buy-in on recommendations.
- Partner with Data & Analytics and other Lines of Business’ Practices and Monitoring teams to develop Business Practices monitoring
- Establish line of business controls governance framework partnering with impacted Line of Businesses and Legal, Risk, Controls and Compliance teams
- Monitor business processes, impacts and changes to Legal, Risk, Controls and Compliance considerations to ensure ongoing compliance and approval across stakeholders (incentives).
- Cross-collaboration within JPMorgan Private Client and with other sub-Lines of Business (Card, U.S. Wealth Management, Consumer Banking, Business Banking and Home Lending) on emerging trends, product or process changes and the sharing of best practices.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Client management skills: advanced ability to closely partner with senior and mid-level managers and other stakeholders on projects.
- 5 years of project management or business analysis experience
- Ability to create executive summaries and perform analysis using Microsoft suite of products required (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Highly organized and detail oriented with a structured/analytical approach to problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to work with senior management
- Proven track record for delivering results and seeks to break the status quo and initiate change
- Self-motivated individual that demonstrates initiative with proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area preferred
- Team player with ability to build strong cross-business relationships
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced environment
- Consumer financial services-focused experience
