Veterinary Receptionist/Clinic Assistant

Compassionate Care Animal Hospital is looking for a Receptionist/Clinic Assistant to join our team! This is a split role: 50% Reception and 50% assisting with other clinic duties.

This is a full-time role comprising of three 9-hour shifts and one 12-hour shift with a day off during the week.

Requirements:

• Preference will be given to candidates with animal-related experience; however, we’re also open to training individuals who love animals and have great customer service skills
• Self-starters who take initiative and pay close attention to detail
• Compassionate team players who have excellent communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
• Eager for learning opportunities and the opportunity to share with the team
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs
• Passion for veterinary medicine

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Client service and communication
• Collaboration with other team members
• Managing multiple phone lines
• Booking appointments
• Greeting clients and patients
• Attention to detail and awareness of surroundings, noticing areas of need within the practice
• Restraining pets for examinations
• Restocking the hospital
• Assisting with inventory
