What’s the position?
We are looking for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join the revenue accounting team in our quickly growing organization. As a Regulatory Reporting Analyst, he/she will be central to ensuring the quality of our accounting and Regulatory reporting systems. The role requires an individual who is technically talented, able to comprehend and cross-reference multiple reports for accuracy, build audits both for data quality and report deliverability, and work closely with the data team to diagnose and resolve any issues. We are looking for a team member who is willing to tackle problems with innovative ideas and quality implementations. He/she will analyze business requirements and design solutions to solve data integrity problems and create ad hoc reporting for a team of Revenue and Regulatory reporting staff members.
What will you do?
- Recognize and diagnose potential errors or data inconsistencies between multiple reports.
- Investigate any irregularities with the finance and data engineering teams.
- Translate internal and external reporting needs into SQL queries to create reports in Excel.
- Automate manual tasks performed in accounting and finance related to Revenue and gaming taxes.
- Work with regulatory and compliance stakeholders to augment reports per regulator requests.
- Define and implement both manual and automated data check protocols against regulatory reports.
- Liase with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure reporting excellence.
- Work with data engineering technologies like Snowflake and Databricks, with the potential to grow a better understanding and skill with these platforms.
- Learn new systems and software to become a product expert.
- Assist commercial teams in analyzing the business to provide opportunities for an expansion of duties.
What are we looking for?
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field and/or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
- Extensive experience with SQL (Snowflake) and Excel; Python is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or similar software.
- Background in database orchestration technologies + ETL (Airflow, DBT, Databricks) highly preferred.
- Understanding of how to automate audits and data quality checks.
- Background working on financial reports, regulatory reports, and data audits.
- Good understanding of financial concepts and systems.
- Exacting attention to numerical detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, while balancing multiple projects at any given time.
- Experience in online sports betting or iGaming is a big plus.
