Factory ZERO is our first, all-electric automotive assembly plant and the blueprint of General Motors' electric future! We have a corporate vision of “Zero crashes, Zero emissions, Zero congestion.” Our most novel products like the Hummer EV and Silverado EV will be assembled right in this facility. This requires us to employ the most upbeat, capable, and innovative talent to ensure we meet the challenges of developing the new manufacturing processes required to assemble these amazing products! The Role:
The VAA Support coordinator, is the liaison between Value Added Assembly (VAA)Suppliers and Vehicle Systems. They will own all the VAA activities on the off shift from support with Plant personnel resources. The coordinator will apply their Manufacturing experience, Plant knowledge, and relationships to communicate or coordinate the communication of VAA status to plant staff and Global VAA team.
What You’ll Do:
- Direct report to the VAA Manager and indirectly to the Supply Chain Manager
- Works with Material Launch Manager and 3rd Party Manager to help coordinate and validate the material plan for VAA
- Coordinates quality planning and plant quality interface
- Holds VAA accountable for reaching agreed upon targets
- Coordinates MVB builds with Plant Emphasizing Safety, Quality and Thru-Put
- Supports all pre-production build events
- Works with VAA to develop a training plan that supports flawless execution
- Identify and resolve issues to ensure a successful launch
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Must be willing to work on all shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts)
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in a Manufacturing/Assembly Plant environment
- Previous experience with 3rd party VAA or LOC
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3 or more years of experience in a Manufacturing/Assembly Plant environment
- Previous experience with a VAA or 3rd party is a plus
- Automotive Manufacturing experience
- Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Logistics
- Knowledge and understanding of GMS
