GENERAL SUMMARY
The Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Support Specialist (YRSS) assists Service Members and their Families in the National Guard to connect with their local support community before, during, and after deployments. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and executing events to meet each program's objectives within the determined funding and government contracting requirements. The YRSS advises state leadership on federal and state legislation and national policy and analyzes data to identify systemic issues for mitigation and resolution.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree, or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Two (2) years’ experience in event planning and/or customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to Multi-task.
- Vendor management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with office productivity software including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe or similar software.
- Exceptional client services experience including professional telephone etiquette and business appropriate attire.
- Must pass a federal background check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, and pass a motor vehicle review.
