Essential Job Duties:The primary purpose of the position is to support the day to day administrative and operational needs of the NC State University Plant Sciences Building. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position will be tasked with:
- Assist with events and meetings, including meeting prep, scheduling and communications with clients, setup and breakdown (moving tables and chairs), laundry, and conference room logistics
- Handling and receiving of mail and delivery packages within the building
- Assist with general loading dock activities, including operation of the lift, and interfacing with delivery carriers
- Assist with care of building plants in first floor areas
- Assist with building tours on occasion
- Assist with various other administrative duties
Work Schedule:
- To be determined between supervisor and successful candidate. Primarily occurring Monday-Friday, between 8am-5pm. Some after hours (past 5pm) and weekend work is possible on occasion (15-30/hrs per week)

- Must be able to spend a significant part of the day standing up and moving around
- Good organizational skills
- Able to be dependable and keep a reliable work schedule
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to occasionally cart packages weighing 100+ lbs
- Valid driver’s license
