Primary Function of Organizational Unit:The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine is dedicated to providing excellence in education, patient care, research, and service in mental health. Admin Support Specialist duties includes coordination of the Adult Residency with day-to day administrative duties, managing of residency applications, in collaboration with RRC committee chairs, create agenda and send to members of the committee prior to meeting, attend RRC meeting to record minutes; reserve room space and set up meetings for academic year; assist Residency Director with scheduling of resident rotations; preparation of travel request and reimbursements; purchasing and accounts payable activities; liaison for coordinating resident responsibilities between Program Director and the Office of Graduate Medical Education. Organize schedule and book presenters for didactics and grand rounds. Assist with coordinate office residency functions (including holiday celebrations, resident orientation, and graduation) i.e., decorating, arranging/ordering food, and coordinating other necessary resources for events. Engage in data analysis focused on improvements and office/events development plans in partnership with Program Director.
Currently, hours of clinic operation are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
