Position Summary: The Technical Support Specialist II plays a crucial role in providing advanced technical assistance and support to internal and external stakeholders. With a primary focus on helpdesk operations, this mid-level IT position also involves addressing cybersecurity issues, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring seamless technology utilization within the organization. Responsibilities include:
- Provide advanced Technical Support to end-users, addressing helpdesk tickets and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, ensuring the security of organizational data and systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, addressing connectivity and performance issues.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Stay informed about the latest IT trends and technologies to contribute to continuous improvement.
- Document and maintain records of technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
- Provide training and guidance to junior Technical Support staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry IT equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in an office environment for extended periods.
- Capable of moving and setting up computer equipment as needed.
Exposure to Conditions:
- May be required to work outside of standard business hours to address critical issues or complete essential tasks.
- Exposure to stressful situations requiring quick and effective decision-making.
- Exposure to confidential and sensitive information, requiring a high level of discretion.
