About the Position
Working with the Helpdesk and Support team, The Technical Support Specialist will be the primary point of contact for help desk, device setup, hardware maintenance, app management and Apple purchases for JK through 8th grade. The Technical Support Specialist will report directly to Director of Technology Support and the Senior Director of Technology for Operations, and be responsible for:
- Maintenance, installation, upgrade, troubleshooting and repair of all classroom, staff and faculty devices (Apple and Chromebook), I/O peripherals and accessories
- Maintenance of Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs)
- Purchasing and installation of academic apps
- Apple purchaser personal faculty purchases
- Faculty laptop setup and loan supervisor
- Annual lab, cart and device summer setup - (Ready for first day of school starting summer 2024)
- Jamf device manager/administrator at 86
- Google Administration of Chromebooks
- Chromebook hardware administration, setup, support and loan management for 1 to 1 program (up for discussion for several locations for loaner)
- HAPARA setup and support administrator
- Maintenance/Tech Help of “Turnitin” network accounts
- Neatly maintaining personal area in computer workshop
- Available to attend weekly Technology Department staff meetings
- Available to meet with IT supervisors as needed
- Basic access training
- Provide emergency support for general technology operations, school-wide when needed
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Macintosh experience
- JAMF, Zendesk and Chromebook experience are highly preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000
