Description:

As a Talent Acquisition organization, we guarantee a dynamic, collaborative environment, focused on providing tailored end-to-end recruiting strategies for Caterpillar’s Construction Industries (CI) segment and associated business units. As Caterpillar continues to evolve to meet the challenge of right candidate, right place, right time, a consultative and agile team is a critical component of our success. Recruiters for CI act as talent advisors and contribute to this mission by leveraging their interpersonal skills, strategic mindsets, and in-depth knowledge of Talent Acquisition to solve problems and target opportunities. This role helps influence our Talent Acquisition strategy, builds strong relationships with our internal customers, and acts as a mentor and subject matter expert for our recruiters in increasing the concentration of underrepresented groups at the top of the funnel to expand access and opportunity to all.


This position requires experience-based knowledge of world-class recruitment methods, a commitment to continuous improvement, and demonstrated success in delivering a high-quality candidate and client experience. Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, learning to refine solutions to better fit complex situations, making timely decisions, and communicating effectively. Strong initiative and leadership skills are also a must, along with having the demonstrated ability to have courageous conversations and be an advocate for all job seekers.


The Talent Partner is responsible for uncovering diverse talent through both traditional and new & innovative recruiting practices; this role is an individual contributor reporting to the CI US Talent Acquisition Manager.  This role will support the Sanford production facility.
 

·       Primary recruiting contact for hiring manager. Continually engages with hiring managers and BU/location leadership to understand the recruiting business needs and required skills.

·       Manage the candidate pipeline by implementing effective sourcing strategies. Effectively program manages recruitment campaigns as required.

·       Responsible for quality of the prospective candidates that are presented to the hiring managers for open requisitions.

·       Develop and maintain effective relations with the centralized Core HR Team and recruitment channel partners (agencies) delivering the recruitment services as appropriate.

·       Maintain and ensure compliance with local recruitment policies & processes.

·       Track candidate process and minimize time to hire (Resume to offer) through driving the candidate pipeline. Understand and use Workday (the candidate database) and ensure up to date data management of recruitment applications by Hiring Managers at all times.

·       Ensure client satisfaction for the recruitment efforts within span of support by communicating business needs and coordinating with the recruiting coordinator. Ensure the positive candidate experience is at the forefront of all recruitment activity.

·       Provide recruiting status updates to Regional and Global Recruiting Leadership including performance vs targets, sourcing/recruiting challenges/issues etc.

·       Collaborate with other regions to share knowledge and lessons learned. Provide back-up recruiting services for other regions as needed.


Basic Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma

·       2 years of recruiting, human resources, or related experience


Top Candidates will also have:

·       Bachelor’s degree

·       2+ years of recruiting experience in high-volume environments

·       Familiarity with Workday

·       Experience in creating talent pipelines through community network and relations

·       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Experience in implementing and executing sourcing strategies focused on increasing the concentration of underrepresented groups

·       Experience recruiting for skilled production labor in a high volume production environment

·       Capability to manage multiple internal customers with ease

·       Develop and maintain effective relations with the hiring managers in span of support

·       Ability to analyze and interpret data including recruiting metrics, recruitment channels etc. to measure success of recruiting initiatives

·       Project management experience

·       Previous leadership, either direct or indirect


Additional Information:

·       Position is located in Sanford, North Carolina

·       Position is expected to be on site 3 days per week, with remote flexibility for remaining 2 days per week

·       Domestic relocation assistance is available for this role to Sanford, NC.
