About Us:
Zuma brings a sophisticated twist on the traditional Japanese Izakaya style of informal eating and drinking. Co-founded by Rainer Becker and Arjun Waney in 2002, Zuma has 14 venues globally, 8 seasonal locations, and several new locations in the pipeline. Featuring modern Japanese cuisine that is authentic but not traditional, the menu showcases a variety of dishes from its three kitchens: The main kitchen, the sushi counter, and the robata grill.
Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated individual who has proven Talent Acquisition experience working in the restaurant industry. This candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle recruitment process in NY and will help source candidates for vacancies in other locations as well. This is an onsite position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Must work closely with hiring managers to ensure that they adequately understand the recruitment needs of each position and the requirements of each to help determine selection criteria.
· Must source and recruit candidates using a variety of outlets, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting the right kinds of candidates for the job. Throughout this process, they develop relationships with prospective talent.
· Assist selected candidates with the onboarding process. Track all onboarding activities to ensure completion.
· Facilitate new hire induction.
· Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
· Assist in drafting job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
· Stay Up to Date with Industry Trends
Requirements/Qualifications:
· Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar role
· Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
· Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Relative recruiting experience within the Hospitality industry
· A keen understanding of the differences between various roles
· BS in Human Resources or relevant field preferred
· Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Experience recruiting through full lifecycle
