Job Description
Systems Analysts are a key part of the Nordstrom Technology ecosystem that applies domain knowledge to analyze and maintain technology processes, systems, and devices. Nordstrom is looking for a Systems Analyst II to join the Store Hardware Platform (SHP) team to facilitate continuous improvement efforts of critical maintenance areas to keep a fleet of nearly 100K devices healthy. You will apply business and operational experience to the analysis of incidents, release management processes, and telemetry platforms to enable us to proactively remediate potential production issues.
The Store Hardware Platforms team vision is to be at the forefront of retail hardware technology and to deliver the tools our employees need before they need it. We do this by building hardware integrations into the Nordstrom Store Environment that provide best in class customer experiences. This team supports a wide variety of devices from point-of-sale registers, payment terminals, mobile devices, and a variety of printers. We are focused on new hardware strategy implementations, hardware integration process engineering, device management, hardware security as well as providing our End User Support teams with critical documentation & processes to support hardware in a retail store environment.

The nature of the work on the Store Hardware Platform team is very hands on in lab and local store environments. As a result, we will need someone in Seattle (or surrounding area) who can work in a hybrid model with some days in the Seattle office.

A Day in the Life:
Relationship Management: Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, project teams, and technology teams. Establish regular touchpoints to support an ongoing feedback loop for ways to support process improvements between teams.
Business Analysis: Review and analyze incident trends, deployment processes, security, and vulnerability priorities. Provide recommended solutions to reduce engineering effort, develop necessary process documentation to support, align with key stakeholders on RACI or other working agreements, and escalates problem areas for engineering to prioritize building technical solutions.
Release Management: Plan,coordinate, communicate, and report out on status of software and hardware lab and production releases as well as partnering with engineering to maintain, enhance, develop related telemetry to provide insight to deployments.
Technical Support:Support basic testing of software and hardware releases with some ability to troubleshoot errors. This requires in person support in the Seattle Lab.
We’d love it if you had any of these:
Experience in Technical Support or Customer Service roles
Experience with delivering in an Agile environment – Sprints, Scrum Ceremonies, etc.
Solid communication skills both written and verbal
Familiarity with retail point of sale hardware environments
Experience with supporting Windows and Android Operating Systems, or ability to quickly learn
Familiarity with basic Networking operation and services (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN), or ability to quickly learn
Familiarity with basic SQL skills or ability to quickly learn

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $67,725 - $122,000 Annually This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
