ABOUT THE ROLE
The Junior Business Systems Analyst assists with analysis efforts for a multi-faceted enterprise level application for a well-known consumer brand. The associated customer portal provides B2B services as well as configures and sends data downstream to consumer facing platforms for our clients. This position requires closely working with a variety of teams including program managers, on- and off-shore developers, UX designers, as well as our client partners (Product Owners) to facilitate day-to-day operations and support continuous expansion efforts throughout the program. This position requires excellent independent judgment and discretionary decision-making skills to support teams and clients. This role reports to the Business Analyst Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate with Program team on delivery approach, QA testing, release planning, and regression testing for in-progress work.
- Assist with the initiation and scoping of new projects.
- Manage requirement gathering process from intake to centralization of documentation while following the methods and standards for eliciting requirements.
- Review and refine Acceptance Criteria from client product teams to ensure it meets (and can exceed) minimum viable requirements for each business scenario defined. Monitor deliverables to ensure client needs are met successfully and in a timely manner.
- Provide business process design and documentation expertise, recommend business process and/or system upgrades to drive continuous improvement, process automation and standardization.
- Translate business needs into system requirements, working closely with the development team to ensure they understand and can meet these requirements.
- Participate in weekly client meetings, including status checks, short- and long-term planning, grooming work. and defect triage (including early morning meetings to accommodate international teams).
- Ability to prepare and deliver effective communication across differing audiences, using methods appropriate to the audience, articulating complex concepts in a simple manner.
- Practices clear, professional, inclusive, and collaborative communication in all internal and client or vendor facing channels.
- Perform user acceptance testing and review QA test cases, test plans, defect resolutions whenever required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least two (2) years of professional experience as a Business Systems Analyst or equivalent
- experience.
- At least one (1) years of general application support.
- At least one (1) year of experience in QA testing.
- BS in Computer Science or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
- Working knowledge of agile software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with user story documentation, story mapping, business, or technical requirements documentation.
