LTL Pricing Analyst

Overview: An LTL (Less Than Truckload) Pricing Analyst is responsible for analyzing market trends, costs, and the competition to determine the optimal pricing strategy for the company's LTL shipping services and overall long term goals and vision.
Hybrid position, must be located in WA, OR, UT, ID, or CO.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to understand customer behavior, market trends, and short- & long-term LTL Pricing Strategy within changing market conditions.
• Analyze internal and external costs, wages, equipment maintenance, and financial information to provide Pricing Recommendations and Decisions using SMC's CIS Program and various other tools.
• Develop, maintain, and implement Pricing Strategies to maximize profitability, in tandem with Sales & Operations Teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Administrative teams to align Pricing with overall business objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Pricing Strategies, and recommend any adjustments, as needed.
• Prepare Costing & Pricing Reports and present findings to Management.
• Responsible for analyzing and negotiating LTL freight rates with Carriers & Shippers, and developing Pricing Models for LTL shipments.
• Create and maintain LTL Pricing Agreements and Contracts, including working with Legal to provide any necessary redlines or revisions to legal Pricing Documents.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (focus on Excel)
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication
• Degree in Mathematics, Business, or other analytical degree preferred
• Strong sense of Time Management and Prioritization
