It Systems Support Analyst

Summary/Objective

The IT Systems Support Analyst is a staff position within the IT group accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services. IT monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems. Position will be working with various technology’s including but not limited to: Active Directory, VPN, VLANs and Switching, firewalls, network monitor systems, enterprise management software, Desktops, laptops, tablets, multi-media devices, enterprise servers, cloud services, Office 365, WAN, Routing protocols, Virtualization, VOIP, Windows server, Linux server, etc. The IT group acts as a liaison to all departments ensuring the whole company runs smoothly.

Essential Functions

• Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
• Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests though a helpdesk system
• Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
• User account maintenance
• Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
• Testing new technology
• Training colleagues
• Maintaining and creating system and process documentation
• Other functions as assigned

Work Environment

This role routinely uses latter’s, lifts, and power tools. Mix of office and repair shop environment.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate in an office environment. (Examples: business office with computers and/or computer printers, light traffic). Occasionally the noise level may be loud in a Repair shop environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time. The employee must constantly reach with hands and fingers.

The employee must be able to safely drive an automobile to and from company sites.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Travel

Occasional travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

• Two (2) years of experience working with computer equipment including hardware and software
• CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience
• CompTIA Network + or equivalent experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

Salary range for this position is $24.00 to $29.00 per hour.
