Surgery Scheduling Coordinator

Salary Range: $20.82 - $31.38 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for scheduling surgical procedures utilizing established guidelines. Coordinates and Schedules surgical/medical procedures & resources. Accurately enters surgical data and generates surgical charges. This position will use organizational skills, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills when working with staff, physicians and physician offices. 

Required:

• Medical Terminology knowledge
• Customer service experience with multiple phone lines

Preferred: 

• Surgical or Medical procedure knowledge
• Minimum Six (6) months experience in a fast paced medical or surgical environment.
• Minimum Six (6) months experience of hospital or medical office scheduling experience
