The ACYR team builds pathways to success through education, skill building and employment opportunities to help youth and young adults reach self-sufficiency. The team plays a crucial role in promoting a culture of positivity, growth mindset, and hospitality by offering high-energy educational activities and services that create a welcoming environment.
Responsible for the delivery of program and administrative support (front desk/reception area, file maintenance, Success Coaches support, GED support) to agency departments.
Essential FunctionsAssist in creating a culture of learning and success for customers, students and staff with a professional demeanor.
Assist with maintaining records to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations.
Assist with program data entry, maintenance and reconciliation.
Front lobby is kept neat and information posted is kept up to date.
Ensures all materials, supplies and equipment is maintained and stocked
Providing Engagement Services - Effectively engage with potential students to recruit and enroll them in ACYR services, provide some coaching services and assist the engagement team with light marketing efforts.
Assisting educators with Assessing Students
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Prior clerical support experience
- Strong communications skills are critical, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work independently and part of a team.
- Ability to commit to teamwork and establishing effective working relationships.
- Willingness to consistently display a positive attitude and image of the agency, as well as provide high quality, effective customer service in all facets of communication.
- Must consistently engage in learning and developing new skills and approaches.
- Understands and utilizes positive youth development practices in all levels of work.
- Experience working with at risk youth a plus.
- Ability to be flexible as specific tasks will change with the evolution of the program.
- Acceptance of individual differences in people. Awareness of one's capabilities and limitations.
- Spanish speaking is required.
