Job Description Summary:
The Cloud Architect will be part of a multi-functional team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency R&D Applied Research & Testing Emerging Technologies (ARTET) Program. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the Department of Defense in early-stage adoption of emerging and disruptive technologies. This is an outstanding opportunity to be a part of a team responsible for piloting and prototyping innovative logistics research solutions to sustain warfighter readiness and lethality. Position is a part of a newly acquired minimum 5-year contract.

- Design, integrate, and deploy modular cloud-based innovative and emerging tech solutions complying with industry and Government-mandated security protocols, controls, and best-practices.
- Responsible for evaluating cloud-based technical solutions/designs, regularly reviewing existing systems in accordance with client requirements and make recommendations for improvements.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) engineering services to the government clients, resolving performance or delivery issues, and making recommendations based on client needs.
- Work closely with Cybersecurity resources to document controls, support accreditation, Interim Authorization to Test (IATT) and Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation and ensure compliance with audits.
- Work independently within team environments to set up and maintain cloud architectures for multiple projects and establish DevSecOps Pipelines within the Gov Cloud Framework.
- Experience working with IronBank to transition containerized solution to DLA DevSecOps platform while adhering to DoD/DLA cloud security policy and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Architect, or similar role.
- 5 years' experience with cloud infrastructure, cloud deployment models, and cloud security such as Azure, AWS, and Google cloud.
- 5 years' experience with implementing DoD DISA Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide, hosted cloud environment and working with cloud native technologies.
- 5 years experience in identifying vulnerabilities in information and/or data systems.
- 5 years experience implementing tooling for controlling the steps in a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipeline.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with developing and implementing automatic test tools in a CI/CD pipeline, which could include Static Application Security Test (SAST) tools, Dynamic Application Security Test (DAST) tools, Unit Test tools, Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools, etc.
- 3-5 years experience in secure configuration management processes.
- 3-5 years experience cybersecurity testing of developed applications and/or systems.
- 3-5 years experience utilizing cybersecurity principles.
- 3-5 years experience with portable, extensible, open-source platform for managing containerized workloads and services.
MUST HAVE a minimum of one certification from EACH of the following lists.
1. DoD 8570 certifications are highly preferred: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP **NEED ONE
2. DLA Approved certifications are highly preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associates (SAA 003 exam), AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Microsoft Certified Architect MS SQL Server, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104 exam) or other e following certifications are highly preferred: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP **NEED ONE
