Under the direction of the Director, Materials Management provides leadership for activities involving the areas of Central Distribution, Central Equipment, Shipping and Receiving and Reproduction Center departments. - PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, schedules work assignments and ensures adequate staffing for all shifts, counsels, disciplines and recommends discharge of subordinates as required following appropriate policies and procedures. - Ensures timely deliveries of all supplies and equipment. Patient equipment is safe clean and in working condition.
- Ensures timely and accurate reprographic services.
- Maintain and inventory and replenishment process for medical gases and MRO supplies. Provided user departments with inventory and cost analysis reports in an effort to reduce operating costs. Ensures the distribution, inventory and replenishment of medical/surgical supplies and linen.
- Oversees the disposition of all equipment/furniture no longer needed by Detroit Campus departments. Maintains an inventory of used furniture that can be redistributed.
- Maintains an offsite warehouse inventory of equipment/furniture. Coordinates moving service with outside vendor for external and internal moves.
- Monitors and reports on productivity, quality of service, customer and employee satisfaction, fiscal responsibility on a regular basis.
- Provides supporting data to measure performance levels and initiate process improvements.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in Logistics and Materials Management or related field, preferred.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of related experience is required.
