POSITION SUMMARY
This position would be in charge of securing upstream quality through vendor & raw material quality management & of supporting manufacturing locations in releasing revised raw materials for Nestle Nutrition (Gerber). This position provides ingredient technical support throughout the organization, assisting with raw materials, vendor relationships, QA experts and others involved in qualification and ingredient supply management.
Key Outputs:Support Raw Materials Quality qualification work for Market led products to achieve Quality By Design:
- Request, review and approve Vendor documentation as it relates to each supplier for Factory and Coman.
- Collaborates with raw material purchasing specifications (RMPS) spec authors related to Nutrition specifications used within the assigned factories and CoMan.
- Authors, reviews, and approves market requirements (MR) specifications in SAP.
- Independently problem solve Vendor comments and concerns in regard to MR requirements and frequencies.
- Escalate Vendor concerns and comments to RMPS spec authors while ensuring Quality and Safety for Gerber consumers.
- Coordinate testing of parameters as needed with Quality Technician, review and escalate results where necessary.
- Provides verification of vendor model COA compliance to MR/RMPS requirements.
- Evaluates Vendor site qualification for assigned projects/application.
- Participates in vendor discussions as QA market expert.
- Participates as market contact for assigned factories/CoMan for specification author.
- Provides support to Technical Subject Matter Owner (SMO) and consulting support across Market, Factories, Technical and Operational groups.
- Provides and assists where appropriate, orientation and training on new or existing ingredient quality standards, with an emphasis on ingredient/vendor qualification.
- Provides continuous improvement support to the factories for ingredient and supplier quality system improvement.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously with ingredients at different stages of the spec review process.

Education:
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor of Sciencein Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related fieldpreferred
Experience:
- High School Diploma with6+ yearsapplicable experience in Quality, Food Science, Supplier Management, Compliance, Product Development, or related experience
- Bachelor of Science with2+ yearexperience in Quality, Food Science, Supplier Management, Compliance, Product Development, or related experience
- SAP or other Systems related experience a plus
HACCP and/or GMP Certification a plus
