Qa Manager - Material Validations

Neogen is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager who will be responsible for providing direction and supporting activities related to the Quality Assurance of Neogen products. This will include all activities related to overall product quality including technical support in product issues or changes, reporting, trending, and nonconforming material approvals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for quality assurance for assigned products.
• Responsible as the primary spokesperson for product quality for assigned products.
• Responsible for Issue Reviews and escalation.
• Responsible for effective use of CAPA and facilitating completion/ monthly mgmt. meetings.
• Responsible for approving product changes
• Responsible for writing process deviations.
• Assist Supplier Quality Team with supplier communication on quality investigation and improvement opportunities.
• Assess and validate test methods and perform cross-over studies.
• Evaluate product and process changes for impact on quality.
• Participate in efforts to improve product quality and process capability.
• Assist Stability Quality Team with shelf life and stability studies to set and validate product claims.
• Organize special studies and work with Quality Control Manager to direct laboratory activities.
• Assure compliance with internal SOP's and external regulations.
• Help to foster a quality environment and mindset throughout the business.
• Working with other departments to support quality assurance for assigned products.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills, excellent attention to detail, and process and system oriented.
• Assist with quality document revisions for assigned products.
• Additional duties as required by Management.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a biological science discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum one (1) year working in industry in a laboratory, quality, or manufacturing function.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related discipline from an accredited University.
• Minimum of three (3) years of quality experience
• ASQ Certification (e.g. CQE, CQI, CQA, etc)
• Statistical knowledge and practice (Design Experiments, Sampling Plans, SPC, ANOVA and Regressions, Product and Process Understanding (PPU) and Six Sigma)
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
• strong collaboration skills
