ABOUT THE JOB
The Human Resources Intern will be responsible for assisting in HR projects designed to deliver greater service to Hawkins internal and external customers. This role will assist all aspects of her including recruiting, training, compliance, benefits, and performance management. We are looking for a paid Summer 2024 intern for a 10-12 week session.
Responsibilities:
Recruiting
- Complete Hawkings branding review of recruiting job boards and social media advertising (Glassdoor, LinkedIn etc.) to boost brand recognition and to increase applicant flow.
- Assist diversity recruiting efforts to build awareness of Hawkins job opportunities to a wider reach of candidates.
HR Communications
- Assist with SharePoint audit of HR documents and complete overhaul of data to best serve our employee (Policies/Handbooks/HR Pages/Benefits/Recruiting/Onboarding/Training).
HR Compliance
- Review and update employee policies to ensure formats and language consistency
- Assemble HR Policy handbook to be added to SharePoint and Hawkins Manager toolkit.
- Review and update job descriptions and make compliance updates-based state law changes
HR Team Support
- Assist with administration for training programs and learning opportunities
- Assist benefits team with summer wellness initiatives and resources for team members.
Internship Review
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to senior leadership on the internship experience including learnings, suggestions, and outcomes for the company.
ABOUT YOU
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related program
- Availability for a 10- to 12-week summer internship
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, time management, analytical and presentation skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with confidential information with discretion
- Competent with Microsoft Office Suite applications
