Specific Responsibilities●Draft and review program/event promotional materials using Canva and share via email and on-foot distribution
●Draft and review press releases to local media sources for event coverage using Google Documents and share via email
●Draft, review and schedule marketing and promotional posts for social media on Facebook and Instagram
●Use social media platforms to respond to communications and share updates
●Attend assigned programs and events to provide support in the form of setting-up, facilitation, and clean up
●Use Google Workspace tools to develop press releases and other marketing materials
●Assist with gathering supplies and preparing for programs and events
●Assist with administrative tasks including updating contact lists, data entry, developing email distribution lists, preparing mailings, etc.

●Friendly, outgoing personality, that enjoys interacting with diverse members of a multigenerational audience
●Dress and present oneself in a professional manner through professional attire and good hygiene
●Strong understanding of social media platforms specifically Facebook and Instagram
●Possess strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
●Complete tasks assigned and respond to communications in a timely manner
●Provide self transport to working location (office and rotating outdoor classroom settings)
●Computer literate and able to navigate and utilize programs with basic instruction
●Excellent multitasking and organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Additional Requirements

• Must be Federal Work Study eligible.
• This position is paid $9/25 per hour, with an estimate of 10-20 hours weekly.

• Position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Position requires occasional manual dexterity and the ability to use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, and reach.
• Position requires occasional stooping, crouching, and bending.
• Position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 10-20 pounds.
• Position requires the ability to help move folding tables and chairs, as well as ability to assist with setup of a 10ft x 10ft pop up tent.
• Working conditions are indoors and outdoors. Position requires the ability to work in an office setting and also rotating outdoor classroom setting.
