Job Summary
Making the choice of which college to attend can be a big decision for students and their families! In becoming a Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions, students will actively participate in helping future River Hawks find their home at SU! Student Ambassadors help educate prospective students and their families about campus life and academics, while also sharing their stories, favorite traditions, and experiences. This is a temporary, non-benefit eligible, non-exempt position as defined by FLSA standards.
Specific Responsibilities
- Be prompt and timely with scheduled tours and in-office hours.
- Leading campus tours during daily visit days and event days to prospective students and their families.
- Participating in all required trainings: shadow tours, tandem tours and pass an approval tour before leading a tour individually.
- Office work in the Admission House, including creating folders, writing postcards, making phone calls, and covering the front desk at slotted hours.
- Expected to meet and mingle with prospective students and their families.

Education
- First Year, Sophomore, or Junior. All Majors
- Must be in good academic and social standing within the university.
- Returning students should have a GPA minimum of a 2.5 and all ambassadors are required to maintain a GPA minimum of 2.5 during their time in the Admission Office.

This Student Worker position is located on campus.
Additional Requirements This position is paid $10.00 per hour, with an estimate of 35 hours weekly.
