Position Summary:Job SummaryThe Student Assistant supports the daily operations of the Student Financial Services office and performs special projects as needed. A flexible schedule is available, but the student employee’s scheduled hours will be during normal office hours, 9:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday. This position is defined as a non-exempt position under FLSA regulations.Summer housing is not included with this position.
Specific Responsibilities
- Filing
- Communication campaigns creation & execution (virtual & physical mailings)
- Data entry
- Data analytics
- Quality assurance
- Reconciliation of accounts
- Making calls to current and prospective students to complete requirements
- Answering and directing phone calls
- Staffing a reception area if a professional staff person is unavailable
- Provide support to the University’s financial literacy initiatives by assisting in the planning, design, and implementation
- Provide support to the returning student aid application processing by assisting in the planning, design, and implementation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Familiarity with university and campus structure are preferred
- The student should be an organized, creative, and collaborative self-starter that exhibits attention to detail
