Job Summary:
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for templating, organizing, and maintaining Medical Provider schedules to ensure a seamless scheduling process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gauge the needs for staff members in each unit and arrange for appropriate staffing levels to be present for each shift.
- Organize and create schedules for all staff members and ensure that they work accordingly.
- Create and maintain daily staffing reports to verify staff members’ work hours, time off and inconsistencies in work.
- Report any inconsistencies or open job positions to the Nurse Manager to ensure that hiring is done in time.
- Assist the nursing department in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.
- Provide assistance in orienting new employees to the agency, particularly in understanding and adhering to protocols.
- Assist payroll managers to verify payroll accuracy by providing him or her with accurate attendance information.
- Process employee PTO requests and ensure that substitutes are available to fill in.
- Consult with the nursing department to ensure that their needs are fulfilled before a staff crisis arises.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Associate degree in human resources or related field preferred
Experience:
- One year of related experience in a similar setting
