Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Receivable processing and oversee the Accounts Payable department.
- Assist with Human Resources processing, including new hire paperwork and data entry.
- Review invoices for proper GL disbursement codes and process check runs.
- Perform updates within the accounting software and other assigned duties.
- Document financial transactions, monitor them, and prepare and file financial documents.
- Fact-check accounting data and reconcile company accounts.
- Assist with tax payments and returns.
- Work with other staff accountants as needed.
- Enter General Ledgers and review Chart of Accounts as needed.
- Handle Amortization Schedules and Credit Card Entries.
- High school diploma or equivalent required with some bookkeeping coursework, Associates in Business or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a bookkeeping/staff accountant role.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, employee benefits, and state and federal employment laws.
- Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain detailed records and uphold a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience in construction is preferred.
