Job Summary and QualificationsThe Senior Product Analyst, Third Party Applications, leads and contributes to the efforts of reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating clinical informatics systems and user needs for clinical Third-Party Applications and related integrated applications. Consulting Product Analysts utilize growing experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They offer reliable clinical informatics product knowledge to end users and business partners. This position will be responsible for ensuring that clinical solutions strategically align with HCA business initiatives and enterprise standards.
Prefer past experience with clinical applications and HCA’s Third-Party Application process. Expected to deliver clear and concise written and oral communications (ex. technical documentation, FLASH messages, etc.). Experience in utilizing Microsoft Office tools to perform analysis and documentation is also preferred.
Major Responsibilities:
Product owner to multiple medium sized clinical applications:
• Own vendor relationships – Ability to take responsibility for Third Party Clinical Applications, working to become a subject matter expert that leads effort in issue resolution and enhancement requests
• Contracting - Work with vendor and division contacts to coordinate consistent pricing and contracts. And work with F&A to get contracts approved.
• TPA Process - Facilitate approval and coordination of the TPA process for each application.
• Clinical Applications include the following, though more could be added:
- Krames/Elsevier
- DryRain
- ProVation
- SafeDose
- NetHealth
- Dr. First
• Applies Knowledge – Understands technical terminology; knows how and when to apply a technical skill or procedure; problem and issue resolution skills.
• Critical Thinking/Decision Making – Applies critical thinking skills to solve difficult problems with effective solutions and to make timely, informed decisions.
• Develops others and own ideas—Seeks and expands on original ideas, enhances others' ideas, and contributes own ideas about the issues at hand.
• Process Improvement Focus – Identifies opportunities to document and improve existing processes.
• Online Systems - Familiarly with online Vendor appropriate ticket system and resolution process for each application.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in related role, working with clinical applications and/or EHRs
• 3+ years of experience in project management, process improvement, testing or education or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
