You Are:
As a Sr. Instructional Designer, you will manage all key aspects of the instructional design process, from project scoping and planning through course deployment and evaluation. In some cases you will facilitate the design process leading other designers, and in some cases you will be directly responsible for project-managing the design effort. Communicating with appropriate departments among all functional areas regarding project material, subject matter, and deadlines is a requirement of the Sr. Instructional Designer Position.
The Opportunity :
- Manage multiple design projects using sound project management tools and methodologies.
- Represent cross-functional teams in systems implementation at an enterprise level.
- Secure content from vendors, engineering, and other parties as needed for course development.
- Review, edit and re-design existing curriculum as needed.
- Design, pilot and launch new curriculum as needed.
- Proactively seek new ways to manage train the trainer roll outs and conduct program effectiveness reviews.
- Work with subject matter experts to proactively partner to obtain and validate courseware content.
- Effectively implement training solutions.
- Establish relationships with various stakeholders to ensure timely response to training needs.
- Work with members of the system implementation team to meet design goals efficiently, effectively, and within the specified time frame and budget while exceeding stakeholders’ expectations.
- Offer performance consulting solutions and strategies.
- Manage vendor relationships for long-term partnership.
- Proactively introduce new training tools and concepts into the training development process. This includes interactive video and audio.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- Specialized knowledge of one or more sub-domains within the relevant industry vertical
- Customer business domain and basic knowledge of geography specific business domain and regulations
- Multiple industry standards and regulations and in-depth knowledge of one, sources and parameters of industry analytics, market/ industry trends / current state
- Demonstrates working knowledge of 2 or more different kinds of implementations (upgrade, new implementation, conversion / migration, enhancements, maintenance, interfaces testing) for a specific product.
- Demonstrates specialized knowledge of technology (OS, languages, applications, databases concepts, data models, etc.), technology landscape. Demonstrates working knowledge of project governance framework, RACI matrix.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote
Compensation Range: $104,000-$156,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
