Job Description
The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a pivotal role within the company, providing accounting support to the Company’s consolidations, financial reporting, and corporate activities. Reporting to the Consolidations Manager, this role will be responsible for all facets of accounting and financial management including, but not limited to, the month-end close, internal controls, financial reporting, and accounting systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare the month-end journal entries for the corporate and central functions such as marketing, insurance, prepaids, debt, etc.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for the corporate accounts
- Assist with research and implementation of technical accounting matters
- Perform variance analysis and drive resolution/correction if needed
- Build relationships with cross-functional areas to promote strong processes and financial controls
- Develop, refine, and improve consolidation and financial reporting process
- Support the maintenance of the chart of accounts and account mapping
- Assist in the administration of the ERP and consolidations systems
- Participate in various business processes, technology, and special projects as assigned
- Support financial statement audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
- Maintain organized, accurate, and complete accounting records
- Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
- Assist the Consolidations Manager with reporting, consolidation, and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CPA is a plus
- 4 years related accounting experience
- Big Four and/or large US public company experience is a plus
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast changing and evolving organization
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization
- Curious mindset that proactively seeks understanding and feedback
- Have high personal integrity and a strong work ethic
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with Acumatica and/or OneStream is a plus

Working Environment
Currently, S&S has a remote work policy which provides for employees to be in the office Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and work from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is subject to change based on business need. Position location: Bolingbrook, IL.
