The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the corporation’s monthly/quarterly reporting and forecast processes, annual planning process, analysis of assets under management and assets under custody, and various complex ad hoc requests to be determined by senior management and executive management of the company.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Participates in the corporation’s monthly reporting process, preparing analyses of results relative to forecast, prior periods, and/or Plan, focusing on key business factors driving financial performance.
- Participates in the monthly forecast process for the corporation. Reviews and analyzes the forecast for each Business Unit and participates in the creation and review of the consolidated forecast presentation to the firm’s Executive Management.
- Participates in the analysis for and production of the corporation’s consolidated quarterly presentation of earnings results to the Board of Directors.
- Participates in the annual profit planning process for the corporation. This includes working with various Business Units to ensure planning is in line with the strategy of the company and each respective Business Unit.
- Contributes to the quarterly analysis of assets under management and assets under custody. Works closely with areas of the Finance department, Business Unit managers and relationship managers to ensure accurate asset reporting.
- Conducts and leads special projects and ad hoc requests for Finance leadership and the corporation’s Management Group. Initiates and creates special projects for relevant items.
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- 7 + plus years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, preferred.
- Excellent finance and accounting knowledge and business acumen
- Proactive self-starter that is able to manage competing priorities as they arise.
- Experience with data management and analysis.
- Ability to interpret data and communicate data analysis in business terms.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with partners across all levels of the organization.
- Strong relationship building, and management skills required to work with partners in finance and across business units.
- Advanced Excel, VBA, PowerPoint, PowerBi and Tableau skill, preferred.
